Four complementary NDE methods
No single examination method is best for every material or discontinuity. VeriTech provides four established methods selected according to component material, geometry, service conditions and the agreed inspection scope.
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
Surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.
Explore service →Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
Surface-breaking discontinuities in suitable non-porous materials.
Explore service →Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Internal examination and material thickness measurement.
Explore service →Visual Welding Inspection (VT)
Weld fit-up, workmanship, profile and visible surface condition.
Explore service →Inspection support for Ontario assets
VeriTech supports fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, planned outages and emergent inspection needs. Typical targets include welds, piping, tanks, structural steel, castings, forgings, machined parts and mechanical equipment.
From scope to traceable report
A useful NDE result starts before examination. The team reviews the component, material, access, expected discontinuity type and project requirements, then applies controlled procedures and verified equipment. Findings are documented clearly for owners, fabricators and quality teams.
NDT and NDE: is there a difference?
The terms are often used interchangeably. “Testing” commonly describes the method, while “examination” can emphasize the wider process of selection, execution, interpretation and documentation. Both assess integrity without impairing future use.
